Yesterday, the Dutch Hosting Provider Association (DHPA) won the Dutch IT Channel Award 2014. The prize was awarded to DHPA director Michiel Steltman during the first edition of the Dutch IT Society Event. Chief editor of Dutch IT-Channel, Witold Kepinski, praised the DHPA for its role as ambassador in the growing field of cloud- and hosting providers in The Netherlands.

The DHPA won the award because the DHPA motivates several parties to cooperate with cloud- and hosting providers. This goal is reached through events and meetings organised by the DHPA. An example of such an event is the annual DHPA Techday, where IT suppliers, cloud- and hosting providers gather. The DHPA Techday gives people outside the sector an idea of what is going on in the ICT-sector, which leads to the development of knowledge, but also has room for debate on political developments that influence the sector.

The Dutch IT Society Event aims to bring together the entire ICT sector in a relaxed setting. The goal of the event is to bring parties together and encourage cooperations.
