Developing a Privacy Program Framework: how to manage privacy within your organization

Back to articles

26 November, 2014

Privacy officers, privacy managers, compliance officers, risk managers, information security, auditing professionals and many others have a responsibility to ensure their organization is compliant with data protection laws and follows its privacy policy.

To successfully manage privacy within an organization privacy professionals are required to take into account not only the organization’s legal framework, but to create a company privacy vision and strategy, to structure a privacy team, to measure performance and to develop and implement a privacy program framework.

Managing privacy within an organization is not a one time effort. It requires continuous attention to establish and maintain the pursued level of privacy governance within the ever changing landscape of the privacy legal and stakeholder framework.

Feel free to contact Considerati’s Martine Wubben, our IAPP Certified Information Privacy Manager, for advice or support on how to:

• create a company privacy vision
• structure a privacy team
• develop and implement a privacy program framework
• communicate to privacy stakeholders
• organize privacy education
• measure performance of your privacy program
