On 28 September, the 2012 Domain Name Debate will take place in The Hague, the Netherlands. This day, the Foundation for Internet Domain Registration in the Netherlands (SIDN), the registry of the .nl top level domain, invites all stakeholders and other interested parties to debate about the privacy policy of SIDN and the improvement of the procedures around expired domain names. Considerati contributed to the substantive preparations of the debate. Bart Schermer and Peter van der Veen wrote two background papers about the privacy aspects of the Whois function and dropcatching. The papers can be found here. If you want to discuss about these topics, you can register for the 2012 Domain Name Debate.
