Recently, Bart Schermer and Marjolein van der Heide published an article about the privacy aspects of drones for surveillance in the Nederlands Juristenblad (Dutch Lawyers Magazine). Therefore, Considerati held a seminar about this topic in its newly opened office in Brussels on 3 September. During this seminar, Bart Schermer discussed the basics of privacy law, the current position of drones in the Legal Life Cycle, the different types of drone deployment and the privacy issues that thereby arise. There were participants from different fields of expertise, for example aviation and the European Commission. The lively discussions during the presentations and the reactions afterwards clearly showed that this seminar offered a new perspective on the use of drones for many of the participants.

This fall, Considerati will also organize a seminar about drones in the Netherlands. Keep an eye on the website for more information or subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to be informed.
