Kees Stuurman is Director Legal Practice. He is also full professor ‘regulation of information technology’ at the Tilburg Law School (Department Law, Technology, Markets & Society) and an independent consultant.
He is specialised in IT contracts and IT regulation with a focus on privacy, e-commerce (e-contracting, electronic signatures), Artificial Intelligence, IT-governance and security. He is further active in the field of self-regulation (standardisation, certification, codes of conduct).
Kees has more than 30 years of experience as a practicing lawyer. He is, among other things, chair of the AI working group of ECP (platform for the information society) and co-author of the Artificial Intelligence Impact Assessment. He acts as arbitrator and mediator in technology related disputes.
