As a Legal Consultant Jules advises large organisations in various sectors - such as aviation, energy & utilities, law enforcement & intelligence, government and mobility - on legal matters regarding privacy and data protection. From managing projects like drafting data breach policies, conducting DPIA's and implementing privacy governance programs, to long-term in-house assignments as a legal counsel. His objective is to provide organisations with high-quality and pragmatic legal advice in digital areas such as data privacy and information technology, whilst helping them reach their innovation goals.
Jules specialises in biometric data (such as fingerprint scanners, facial recognition and handpunch systems), data sharing within (public-private) partnerships, DPIA's, Data Processing Agreements, and GDPR-implementation programs. Furthermore, he has experience with organisations in the Dutch Caribbean.
Jules has obtained his master’s degree in Laws at VU University in Amsterdam with a specialisation in Internet, Intellectual Property and IT-law. Furthermore, he has obtained a CIPM certificate from the IAPP and has successfully completed the DPO-course from Considerati.
