As a Legal Consultant Jules advises large (global) organisations in various sectors - such as aviation, energy and utilities, law enforcement, intelligence, education and mobility - on legal matters regarding privacy and data protection. From managing projects like drafting data breach policies, conducting DPIA's and implementing privacy governance programs, to long-term in-house assignments as a legal counsel. His objective is to provide organisations with high-quality and pragmatic legal advice, whilst helping them reach their innovation goals.
He specialises in biometric data (such as fingerprint scanners, facial recognition and handpunch systems), data sharing within (public-private) partnerships, DPIA's, Data Processing Agreements, and GDPR-implementation programs. Jules has obtained his master’s degree in Laws at VU University in Amsterdam with a specialisation in Internet, Intellectual Property and IT-law. Furthermore, he has a CIPM certificate from the IAPP and successfully completed the DPO-course from Considerati.
