About Heleen
Heleen started as an intern at Considerati in 2021 and is currently working as a consultant within Considerati's legal team. She advises both public and private organisations on how to become or remain AVG-compliant. She also has experience, among other things, in setting up and maintaining data processing registers, performing gap analysis assessments, carrying out DPIAs and drafting and reviewing processor agreements.
Before this, Heleen studied at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) and obtained a master's degree in Internet, ICT and Intellectual Property. Her thesis dealt with the safeguards in the AI regulation to prevent mass surveillance with the deployment of real-time facial recognition by the government.
