As Senior Legal Manager, Jonathan is involved in a wide range of projects within the Legal and Responsible AI team. In doing so, Jonathan supports both public and commercial organizations with respect to legal issues. Jonathan has specific experience in advising multinational organizations on the requirements arising from privacy and related laws and regulations. His knowledge of international privacy legislation puts him in a good position to provide support in setting up international privacy governance frameworks.
In addition, Jonathan has vast experience in drafting and improving practical privacy governance guidelines and procedures. He is also experienced in advising on cross-border data transfers, the operational design of (international) data processing within organizations, structuring and mapping of data processing activities, third party management, drafting policy processes and performing compliance checks and implementation projects (GDPR, AI, ePrivacy). In addition, Jonathan has been part of DPO teams of various organizations, including in the health(tech), e-commerce and mobility sectors.
In his role as Team Manager, Jonathan is also responsible for one of the sub-teams within Considerati's Legal and Responsible AI team. He supports team members with the planning and execution of their projects and mentors his team members on their development as legal advisors.
Jonathan is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Dutch Association of Data Protection Officers (NGFG). He holds an LL.M. degree in International and European Law, with a specialization in EU law.
