Researcher Privacy and Dataprotection

Having completed his LLB degree in International and European Law from Groningen, Dane has almost completed his LLM Law and Technology at Tilburg University, specializing in privacy and data protection, intellectual property, and e-commerce. His thesis topic addresses the legitimacy deficit of privacy/data protection certification schemes put forward as regulatory tools under Articles 42 and 43 GDPR and how transparency and accountability can be utilized to allay the most urgent (democratic) legitimacy concerns.
